Saffron elevates this simple dish that is fast and easy to make.

Penne with Sausage and Saffron

 230 g Penne
 125 ml Cream
 Grated Parmesan Cheese
 225 g Sausage
 1 Sachet of Saffron
 Salt and Pepper to taste

Put a large pot of water on heat to boil.

Crumble the sausage and brown it in a skillet.

When the water reaches a boil, add salt and the penne.

Add the cream when the sausage is cooked through and bring to a boil.

Add the saffron sachet and salt and pepper.

When the pasta is al dente, drain and transfer to the skillet, stirring everything together for a minute.

Serve with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese and optionally, saffron threads.
